Announcing Fedora Directory Server 1.1 Beta
It's finally here - whew.  http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Release_Notes

It has taken a long time to get here - more than a year since 1.0.4 was released.  In that time, we've done a lot of work to make the project more friendly to the open source community - use packages provided with the OS, use autotools, use Filesystem Hierarchy Standard files/paths, provide init scripts, and much more.  And it's nice to see the progress of IcedTea - the Fedora DS Console is fully usable with IcedTea Java in Fedora 8.  We've also fixed many, many bugs along the way, and included some features for www.freeipa.org.  I would like to thank the entire Fedora DS team for their focused, driven effort over the past several months.  I would also like to thank Dennis Gilmore and Jesse Keating for their special assistance.
